To extend the event reach of the Brawl Cup Semi Finals beyond ticket holders, Supercell wanted to translate the lore of Starr Park into a high energy fan experience outside the tournament venue. \
Superfans live and breathe Brawl Stars lore. With endless fan theory and obsessive world-building.They didn’t want a fan zone, they wanted to live in that world and be treated like locals.
Brawl Stars Berlin turned superfans into locals of Starr Park.
Stepping onto the signature bright yellow trophy road, guests were locals from the moment they arrived. The Water Tower loomed overhead, CCTV cameras tracked their every move, and a Brawler’s car had already smashed through the welcome sign. Fly-posted, stickered and graffitied, Starr Park felt right at home in Berlin.
Guests had to fill their Residents Card with stamps from around the square, leading them to minigames. They struck poses in Brawler silhouettes at the Bus Stop and pressed their ear to one of six originally sound-designed Brawler phone calls. The in-game Gift Shop became an on-site merch destination. They plunged their hands into an overflowing trash can to identify, by touch alone, a Brawler’s weapon.
Fan-favourite Brawlers roamed the square: Piper the baker assassin, Ash the actor trapped inside a trash can, the contrasting robot duo R-T, superfan Colette and emo outlier Edgar. Every costume was made by hand, honouring the unique design of each character with total fidelity.
Six stamps earned one thing: an exclusive, limited-edition in-game Pin download, and the knowledge that, for a weekend in Berlin, they had been a resident of Starr Park.
