Studio Secret Cinema's inaugural Secret Summit. A gathering of innovators from the worlds of marketing, events and entertainment.
Secret Summit 01: Unforgettable was a night to remember.
Business Development Director, Cat Botibol kicked off proceedings with a welcome address to the 70 guests from a range of incredible brands and welcomed the evenings keynote Baroness Dr. Susan Greenfield.
Susan is a neuroscientist and an expert on memory, she shared her excellent talk: "How to Make a Moment Change Everything Forever". She discussed powerful tools for experiences like enriched environments, feeling present and of course, storytelling.
All throughout the venue a deep booming operatic voice filled the room. Like Evita from a balcony, drag artist Le Gateau Chocolat appeared belting out a soulful tune. Now it was time for the Unforgettable Panel.
The Unforgettable Panel was hosted by Studio Secret Cinema's creative director Dean Rodgers and featured the (already onstage) Le Gateau Chocolat, Nicole Pacitti from Three UK, Secret Cinema's senior creative director Matt Costain, Imogen Chapman-Reid from Prime Video and comedian Grace Campbell.
The panel was insightful and riotous in equal measure. We discussed themes of strong emotions, community, authenticity and storytelling. Matt even got a moment of audience participation in, as he got the whole room to stand up and declare their love to the person next to them. Our panelists closing pieces of advice underlined the importance of surprise, community, story and honesty.
With the panel concluded guests were free to mingle, explore the space and grab a bite to eat. Catering at this moment featured some memory boosting food.
The explorable spaces were a real hit. One was an artist studio in which artists drew a portrait based on guests memory. Most popular of all was The Grease War Room hosted by Matt Costain. This took guests inside Matt's brain to understand the process of how we create our shows.
The evening was a huge success and without a doubt unforgettable.
