Studio Secret Cinema and mobile game developer Supercell stunned millions of fans at the Brawl Stars World Finals at DreamHack Stockholm with the first-ever live appearance of The Good Randoms, the fictional band that has headlined this year's most-watched Brawl Stars YouTube content.
Tasked with transforming the in-game band into a real-world spectacle, Studio Secret Cinema created a surprise takeover between the semi-finals and finals, a high energy performance engineered to blur the boundaries between animation, live music and esports stagecraft.
To set the moment in motion, Studio designed a glitch in the broadcast. What began as a subtle screen flicker escalated into a full visual malfunction before The Good Randoms burst onto the DreamHack stage. The takeover electrified fans both in the arena and on the global livestream.
Produced entirely by Studio Secret Cinema's in-house team, the project builds on the companies year-long creative partnership with Supercell, following Supercell's Starr Park Experience at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year.
Band members Buzz, Poco and Stu were embodied by dancers Robson Broad, Antony Morgan and Michael Naylor, who lip-synched in character and delivered high-impact street, commercial and hip-hop choreography with tumbling and tricks.
Fictional band member Melodie also made a special appearance, portrayed by South Korean pop singer and musical theatre performer Yoon Kim, who performed live vocals in both Korean and English.
Studio Secret Cinema created the full live package for the takeover - including original costumes, hair and makeup design, choreography, staging direction and bespoke animated stage visuals crafted to lift the Brawl Stars universe into reality. The performance unfolded against vibrant custom-built animations designed to pull fans deeper into the moment and spark mass participation in the arena and online.
